For my coaching business I wanted a website that was, above all, professional and clean in appearance. I wanted people to look at it and think that as a coach I really knew what I was doing – but in a quietly confident, unassuming way. I looked at many other sites and had a list of things I didn’t like, in the hope i’d be able to get something I did like.
My initial conversation with Robert was both positive and reassuring. It can be quite difficult to articulate a vision, but I knew that Robert immediately ‘got’ what I was trying to come up with. He seemed to be able to pick up on the things that I felt were very personal to me – that is a rare skill, and made the process much easier from start to finish.
Once we started working through the drafts of the website, along with the logo development, Robert was very patient in listening to my feedback. I felt that I was being almost nit-picky at times, but of course this isn’t the case. I was made to feel that this was my business and everything should be perfect, so I shouldn’t settle for something I wasn’t 100% happy with. Robert’s knowledge of branding and web development was also hugely helpful when I asked the (frequent) question “what do you think?” His feedback was valuable and I went with his advice on a number of occasions.
Finally, Robert was excellent in letting me know exactly where we were in terms of progress on the website. He also ensured I knew exactly what he needed from me in order for things to progress. He was patient when I was a little slow in providing things, but I was always confident that things were moving on apace – I never once had to call to ask how things were going (which usually means ‘what are you up to, nothing’s happening’!).
The final result has exceeded all my expectations, and I have a fantastic website to promote my business. As and when I want to update or expand it i’ll be in contact with Robert to do it."
